Project introduction and requirements

With the continuous improvement of the level of medical technology, the medical environment has gradually been people's attention. Especially in the millions of times everyday step on the floor, if the quality is not good, it is easy to break.

The hospital was primarily renovated over an area of 5,120 sq m. Farfly was commissioned to lay vinyl flooring in the nurses' stations, corridors, wards and operating theatres, and emergency areas.

Product recommendations and installation precautions

The nurse's station chose two blue colours spliced together to act as a guide.

The walls of the corridor have also been fitted with homogeneous flooring, which can be more anti-bacterial.

Rooms in the hospital, such as laboratories and operating theatres, lack daylight, and in addition, sunlight is not suitable for assessing scan results. Because of this, Farfly chose bright colours to make this part of the area look open and bright. For the flooring, aesthetics were of course important, but so was functionality. For example, it had to be easy to clean, but also robust and able to withstand very frequent use.

When Farfly's boned homogeneous flooring arrived at the site, the team laid the flooring flat to fully acclimatise it to the installation environment. This helps prevent expansion or contraction after installation, which can take up to 48 hours.

Additionally, we considered the refurbishment project to be as unobtrusive as possible to the patient's rest, so opted for a split installation.

This standard can be achieved by using environmentally friendly, formaldehyde-free, quality products. This is the main reason why the hospital chose Farfly.
