Suning Cinema City

Building area of 6000 square metres. The auditorium has more than 1,800 seats in 11 auditoriums. 1 special effects hall.

 Farfly, a specialist in non-slip flooring, was commissioned to lay safety flooring for the cinema's auditoriums, stairwells and other rooms.

A total of 5125 square metres of floor coverings were delivered for this huge project.

As the cinema is newly built. Therefore, the cinema needed a flooring solution that was durable enough to withstand high levels of foot traffic for years to come, yet blended with a calm, neutral aesthetic that was also slip-resistant, fire-resistant, environmentally friendly, and easy to clean and maintain.

Farfly's safety floor range quickly became the perfect flooring solution for cinemas. This flooring has a macadamised granular surface, which greatly increases the anti-slip properties, as well as being fire-resistant, which is a great help in windowless rooms like cinemas, avoiding the tendency for fires to cause a spread.

When installing safety flooring, Farfly's team of professional builders take many factors into consideration.

 They want to make sure the original floor is clean, dry, and level, free of any debris or contaminants that could affect adhesion.

  When Farfly's safety flooring arrives at the site, the construction team lays the flooring flat to fully acclimatise it to the installation environment. This helps prevent expansion or contraction after installation, which can take up to 48 hours.

  When choosing an adhesive, we opted for a floor-specific adhesive. Allow time for moisture in the adhesive to evaporate before installation.

  Consider environmental factors such as temperature and humidity during installation. Dramatic changes in these conditions can affect the performance of the adhesive and the flooring material itself.
