Project Background

In a children's amusement park, the park decided to add a new special karting play area to increase the diversity and interest of children's activities. This area is designed to provide a safe and exciting driving experience for children aged 3-6. To ensure the safety and durability of the area, the project decided to use PVC flooring for the surfacing.

Project Requirements

1. Safety: The flooring needs good anti-slip performance and cushioning ability to protect young children during activities.

2. Durability: The flooring needs to be wear-resistant, impact-resistant, and able to withstand the frequent use of go-karts by young children.

3. Easy to clean: the floor surface is easy to clean and maintain, suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

4. Environmentally friendly: The flooring materials need to meet environmental standards and be free of harmful substances to ensure the health of young children.

Design and Planning

1. Area planning: a total area of 108 square meters for the go-karting play area, including track, waiting area, and spectator area.

2. Floor design: Wear-resistant PVC rolled flooring is used in the track part, comfortable PVC flooring is used in the waiting and spectator areas, and different colors and patterns are designed to distinguish the functional areas.

Construction process

1. Site Preparation: Clean up the ground to ensure that the ground is level and free of debris and dust.

2. Floor cutting: According to the design drawings, the PVC flooring is cut accurately to ensure that the flooring dimensions in each area are accurate.

3. Paving process:

   - Circuit paving: start paving from the starting point of the circuit, section by section. Each section of the floor is spliced with special jointing adhesive to ensure the continuity and flatness of the track.

   - Waiting Area Paving: Pave the flooring of the waiting and spectator areas to ensure that the flooring closely fits the ground without air bubbles and voids.

4. Edge treatment: Seal the edges of the floor to prevent the floor from buckling and falling off.

5. Drainage System Installation: Install a drainage system under the floor to ensure that there is no water accumulation on the site during rainy days.

6. Testing and Acceptance: After the paving is completed, test the whole floor to ensure that there are no cracked seams, no warped edges, and that the surface of the floor is flat and free of impurities.

Results and Feedback

After the completion of the PVC floor paving project, the karting play area for young children was officially put into use. Parents and children rated the area very highly, and in particular the comfort and safety of the flooring was widely recognized. The non-slip and cushioning properties of the flooring performed well in actual use, greatly reducing the risk of falls and injuries to young children. In addition, the floor's ease of cleaning and durability were also recognized by the operator, effectively reducing daily maintenance costs.
