Project introduction

The building area is 123,000 square metres. The establishment of beds 800, open beds 1050. It is a national Grade 3A Chinese medicine hospital integrating centralised medical treatment, teaching and research, preventive health care and Chinese medicine recuperation.

    Farfly a specialist in the healthcare sector has been appointed to equip the hospital with various vinyl floor coverings dedicated to entrances, corridors, bedrooms and technical or emergency areas (operating theatres, intensive care units...).

  In total 107500 sqm of floorcoverings were delivered for this huge project.

Project requirement

Due to hospital expansion. As a result, the hospital's new medical centre required a flooring solution that would be durable enough to withstand high levels of patient traffic for years to come, blend in with a calm, neutral aesthetic, and be both environmentally friendly and easy to clean and maintain.

Product recommendations and installation precautions

The Farfly's 'Boned' range quickly became the perfect flooring solution for the new medical centre.

  When installing a homogeneous floor, Farfly's professional construction team take many things into consideration.

  They ensure that the original flooring is clean, dry, level and free from any debris or contaminants that could affect adhesion.

  When Farfly's Boned Homogeneous Flooring arrived on site, the team laid the flooring flat on the floor to allow it to fully adapt to the environment in which it would be installed. This helps to prevent expansion or contraction after installation, which can take up to 48 hours.

  When choosing an adhesive, we chose a special adhesive for homogeneous floors. Allow time for the moisture in the adhesive to evaporate before installation.

  Environmental factors such as temperature and humidity are taken into account during installation. Extreme changes in these conditions can affect the performance of the adhesive and the flooring material itself.
